Restore Your Smile: Cost-Effective Solutions for Missing Teeth and Unstable Crowns

Are you struggling with missing teeth or an unstable crown? Re-cementing crowns and bridges offers a cost-effective solution to restore your smile. This treatment not only enhances your appearance but also allows you to eat and chew normally. Get rid of the discomfort of gaps in your smile, and say hello to a natural look and perfect smile.

Dental Bridges as a Solution for Missing Teeth

Dental bridges fill the space left by missing teeth, using artificial teeth that are securely attached to the nearby natural teeth or dental crowns. This not only restores your ability to eat and speak comfortably, but also brings back your natural smile, helping you regain confidence and feel like yourself again.

The Process of Re-cementing Crowns and Bridges

  • Assessment and Cleaning: The dentist examines the crown or bridge and cleans any residual cement or debris from the tooth and restoration.
  • Fitting and Preparation: The crown or bridge is positioned on the tooth without cement to ensure a proper fit. Necessary adjustments are made if required.
  • Cement Application and Placement: A fresh layer of dental cement is applied to the inside of the crown or bridge, which is then carefully placed back onto the tooth.
  • Setting and Final Adjustments: The restoration is set using gentle pressure, excess cement is removed, and the dentist checks for proper bite and alignment.

This concise process covers the essential steps involved in re-cementing crowns and bridges.

Why Are Dental Crowns Good for Your Oral Health?

  • Strengthening Fractured Teeth: A dental crown can strengthen a fractured tooth, preventing further damage and preserving its function.
  • Enhancing Irregularly Shaped Teeth: If you have a tooth that’s oddly shaped, a crown can improve its function and appearance, enhancing your overall smile.
  • Restoring Teeth After Root Canal: Following a root canal, a crown helps restore the treated tooth's strength and protects it from future issues.

Understanding Dental Crowns and Bridges

Dental crowns are custom-made coverings that restore the function and appearance of damaged teeth. They protect and strengthen teeth weakened by decay or injury, improving their look and functionality.

Conversely, dental bridges consist of artificial teeth designed to fill gaps left by missing teeth, supported by crowns on adjacent teeth. Both options are crafted to match your natural tooth shade, ensuring a seamless and attractive smile.

Quick appointment available and it was on time. Lovely dentist and the problem was sorted quickly. I think £40 to prescribe antibiotics is a bit steep as it’s just a bit of paper.

    February 2026

Needed an urgent appointment and found Emerdency who were able to arrange a same day appointment with a local dentist. The whole process couldn't have been any simpler and efficient. As soon as I had booked and paid my fee confirmation of my appointment at the practice was confirmed...

The fee covered an xray and assessment of treatment required and the prices for treatment were also provided. Attended as arranged and received excellent treatment, on time, by very friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Going through Emerdency to find a local dentist with an available timeslot took away all the worry and frustration of trying to organise this yourself, not to mention the amount of time saved. Really appreciate this service and think they have a marvellous system going. Thank you for your help.
