Managed to book an emergency dentist for the following day (Good Friday)... my self diagnosis through Google searches scared the living daylights out of me...

So I appreciated the ease of booking, prices are clearly stated and to my suprise didn't cost much more than the same had I managed to get a regular dental appt, despite it being a bank holiday. Emergency dentist at Rainworth was reassuring and helpful. I would recommend both him and Emerdency.

FAQs

The emergency consultation is £49 and is paid when you book. Most common emergency treatments have set prices, which you can see on our website before you attend. If the dentist feels you need anything outside these fixed fees, they will explain the options and costs first so you can decide whether you want to go ahead.
A dental problem is classed as an emergency if it needs prompt attention and cannot reasonably wait, usually because of pain, swelling, bleeding or damage to the teeth or mouth. Examples include severe toothache, dental abscess, facial swelling, broken or cracked teeth, a tooth that has been knocked out and lost fillings or crowns that are causing pain.
The aim is always to do something active to help you at the first visit, rather than simply send you away with advice. In most cases this means treatment is started or completed on the same day. On rare occasions full treatment is delayed because of medical or clinical reasons, for example if a procedure is not safe at that time. If this happens, the dentist will still try to get you comfortable and will outline a clear plan for what needs to happen next.
Yes. The service is very used to seeing patients who feel worried or anxious about dental treatment. The dentist will talk things through with you, explain each step in plain language and check you are happy before anything is done. You can let the team know if you need breaks or prefer to go slowly so that the appointment can be adjusted to your pace.
You pay the £49 consultation fee online when you book, using a credit or debit card, PayPal or Klarna. Subject to their terms, Klarna can allow you to pay later or spread the cost into smaller instalments. Any treatment carried out at the practice is then paid for directly to the dental practice in line with the Emerdency fee list, usually by cash or card at reception.
