Managed to book an emergency dentist for the following day (Good Friday)... my self diagnosis through Google searches scared the living daylights out of me...

So I appreciated the ease of booking, prices are clearly stated and to my suprise didn't cost much more than the same had I managed to get a regular dental appt, despite it being a bank holiday. Emergency dentist at Rainworth was reassuring and helpful. I would recommend both him and Emerdency.

Fast Access to Emergency Dental Care in Bolton

Finding an emergency dentist in Bolton quickly becomes a priority when you are hit by sudden pain or tooth damage. Toothache, swelling, broken teeth or bleeding often appear without warning and can quickly worsen if left untreated.

Emerdency provides a practical route to a private emergency appointment, with clear pricing and experienced GDC registered dentists who can assess and manage your dental issue promptly.

Most people simply want a quick way to see a qualified professional without facing long delays. That’s where Emerdency steps in.

Why Choose Emerdency

A dental emergency can be stressful for several reasons, including the discomfort itself, the worry about what might be wrong, and not knowing where to turn when your regular dentist cannot offer a prompt appointment. Here’s what you can expect from our service.

Access When You Need It Most

A dental emergency can be difficult to manage. Many people first contact the NHS for advice, but non-urgent cases can sometimes face long waiting times. Emerdency provides a practical private alternative, giving you quicker access to professional assessment and treatment.

Our online system allows you to check live availability, select an appointment time and secure your booking within minutes. This gives you straightforward access to an emergency dentist in Bolton when you need it most.

Transparent Fees & Clear Communication

Our consultation fee is fixed at £49. This covers the emergency examination and any small X-rays necessary to locate the source of pain or infection. There are no hidden charges for your initial appointment. After the initial examination, the dentist explains your treatment options and any further costs so you can decide how to proceed.

Some of the most common emergency treatments include:

  • Repairing or replacing a simple filling.
  • Re-cementing a crown or bridge.
  • Stabilising a fractured tooth.
  • Easing pain linked to inflammation or infection.

Simple procedures cost £40, while more complex work costs £120. Because the fees are fixed, you can decide how you want to proceed without uncertainty about the cost.

When to Book an Appointment through Emerdency

Realising that you need an emergency appointment is not always straightforward. Many people hope that toothache, sensitivity or minor swelling will settle on its own. However, leaving things too long can lead to more pain, a larger infection or damage that becomes harder and more costly to treat. Booking an emergency appointment early usually prevents the issue from becoming more complicated.

FAQs

You start by booking your emergency consultation online and paying the £49 consultation fee at the time of booking. During your visit, the dentist will listen to your concerns, examine the problem area and take any X rays that are needed to reach a diagnosis. Once they understand what is causing the issue, they will talk you through the treatment options that are available. Any treatment fees are paid directly to the dental practice, in line with the fixed prices shown on our website.
In most cases some form of treatment is carried out at the same appointment so that you are not left struggling with your symptoms. Occasionally it is not possible to complete full treatment straight away, usually because of medical or clinical reasons rather than a lack of willingness to treat. For example, certain medical conditions or medicines can make an extraction unsafe on that day. If this happens, the dentist will still aim to ease your pain and explain clearly what needs to happen next.
Many patients do leave with a permanent filling on the day, but this is not something that can be promised in every situation. The final decision depends on how complex the problem is and how much time is needed to treat the tooth effectively. If a long term solution is not appropriate at that stage, the dentist will place a semi permanent filling to protect the tooth and reduce discomfort, and then arrange follow up care if required.
The fee for a standard extraction is £120 regardless of which tooth is being removed. The only situation where this fee does not cover the extraction is when a surgical extraction is required. Any tooth that needs a surgical extraction can only be quoted after the consultation, as the cost will be determined by the complexity of the procedure.
Children can attend for urgent dental problems just like adults. The dentist will focus on keeping them comfortable, settling any pain or infection and carrying out treatment if the child is able to cope on the day. What is done will depend on the child’s age, how they feel in the surgery and how well they are able to cooperate. If longer term or more complex care is needed, the dentist will explain this to you and advise on the most suitable plan.
