Emerdency was created by UK dentists after many years of seeing patients struggle to find urgent help when they needed it most. People in severe pain were often told to keep ringing around practices, to call NHS 111 and wait, or to accept uncertain private fees.
The idea behind Emerdency was straightforward. We wanted to create a trusted way for people to see live emergency appointment availability with local General Dental Council registered dentists, book in a few minutes, and know exactly what the consultation will cost before they travel.

Emerdency is a UK based booking platform that connects patients with emergency dental appointments at partner practices across major towns and cities.
Patients can:

- 2. Book directly into a suitable slot at a time that works for them.
- 3. Attend their appointment at a fixed consultation fee, with clear pricing for the most common emergency treatments.
Every partner practice is a CQC regulated dental practice and every dentist is GDC registered. We work closely with practices to maintain clear fees and consistent standards of care.

How Emerdency developed
How Emerdency developed
Emerdency was founded in 2017 and piloted as a small regional service before relaunching in 2020 with an improved booking system. Since then it has grown steadily through recommendations from patients, partner practices and dental colleagues, helping many thousands of patients across the United Kingdom to access emergency care when it mattered most.
Our growth has been deliberate rather than rushed. We focus on working with practices that share our patient centred values and can offer reliable emergency capacity.
Clinical leadership
Emerdency is led by Dr Mohammad Ali, a UK registered dentist and co-founder of the platform. Dr Ali qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2012 and continues limited clinical practice alongside his leadership role at Emerdency. His ongoing work in practice helps keep the service closely aligned with real patient needs and the day to day realities of dental teams.
Emerdency was founded by husband and wife duo Dr Mohammad Ali and Dr Irem Aurangzeb, who brings a steady stream of new and innovative ideas to the service.
